An Exercise in Communal Drawing with Scarborough Zine Library
Here's how our experimental zine making workshop went with Scarborough Zine Library, as we were influenced by the music and the people around us...
Half the battle of zine making is deciding on the content that’s going to populate your pages, so what better way to remedy this than work backwards? Draw, collage and respond to each other’s work whilst letting the music influence what we make and draw…
Much like Andrew’s process of being inspired by his immediate influences, we let our environment explore what we draw first, and then watch these drawings take on a structured narrative as they’re folded into a traditional 8-page zine format (or not…)
We think about the art-making not so much as traditional drawings, but rather as images without intent to convey any purpose until it’s within a succinct procession of pages.
