New dates regarding the upcoming James Brunt exhibition are updated below!
** NEW DATE and VENUE**
6 July 2024—1 September 2024
Scarborough Art Gallery, The Crescent, YO11 2PW
Tuesday – Sunday | 10am – 5pm
Free with an Annual Pass (£5 / Free under 18s and registered carers)
An exhibition created using natural materials from the local coastline by Sheffield-based artist, James Brunt. James will use an immersive process to create this new work, allowing the landscape, weather and people associated with the Scarborough coastline to respond creatively.
Coastal Ecologies is the result of a new commission from Scarborough Museums and Galleries and Crescent Arts to widen opportunities for Northern artists and share the interest of ecology, sustainability and the changing natural world with regional audiences.
**This exhibition will now take place at a later date and in a different venue, than originally publicised – this is because of essential work happening on the roof of Woodend Gallery, and the scaffolding installed inside the gallery means it isn’t possible for the exhibition to go ahead as planned.
